◉ How do you choose where pictures will be taken?
the location of your Portrait Session will be set according to your preferences and accessibility. whether that is a location you already have in mind or us providing options, Multiple locations can be accommodated with most portrait sessions upon request.
◉ Where do we meet?
Unless we've discussed otherwise, your photographer will meet you at the location of the shoot.
◉ How long before I receive the pictures?
the average turn around for a general portrait session is 3 weeks. engagement & wedding photography sessions require more processing time ranging from 5-7 weeks. During this time you are more than welcome to ask for updates.
◉ How many pictures should I expect?
→ for general portrait sessions, you can expect 20-40 pictures.
→ for engagement portrait sessions, you can expect 50+ pictures.
→ for a full wedding photography session, you can expect 300+ pictures.
→ for a partial wedding photography session, you can expect 150+ pictures.
→ for a wedding & Engagement photography session, you can expect 400+ pictures.
◉ How many prints should I expect?
You will receive digital copies of all the images via a link. However, prints are provided at an additional price upon request. (physical prints, photo books, canvas, ..etc.)
◉ Who has the rights to the images?
You have rights to the images for personal use, meaning you have can print and use them as you'd like. Whilst 'Venturing Laughter Photography' has rights to the images for promotional use.
◉ What should I wear?
What you wear is really up to you. However here are a few things to consider...
→ You will be walking around a bit, especially if we are going to multiple locations. Please, wear shoes you will be comfortable walking in for some time, or bring an additional pair of shoes you can slip into in between takes. This will hopefully avoid you wanting to murder your lovely photographer mid portrait session for making you walk around more than you expected to.
→ comfort and flexibility are also important. you will be moving about in ways you probably didn't foresee as you will be posing. This could include squatting, leaning against things, sitting, etc. Be sure you are comfortable in whatever clothes you decide to wear to your portrait session.
→ I highly encourage you to consider multiple outfits. Whether that is changing into an entirely new out fit or having some things you can add or exchange throughout the portrait session such as: a jacket, another shirt, a hat, an extra pair of shoes, accessories, etc. as doing so will translate into a larger variety of pictures.
◉ What about props?
Props will not be provided by your photographer, but you are more than welcome to bring any props you would like to use during your portrait session.
◉ How much time in advance should I book my session?
→ Per Hour Portrait Session: minimum of 3 days in advance
→ General Portrait Session: minimum of 7 days in advance
→ Engagement Portrait Session: minimum of 3 weeks in advance
→ Wedding Portrait Session: minimum of 5 months in advance
◉ Is there a cancelation fee?
→ For cancellations or re-scheduling, please contact at least 48 hours in advance, failure to do so will result in a $50 cancellation fee. - Please be mindful that once you book a Portrait Session that block of time becomes unavailable to all other interested clients.
